Treat Gingivitis By Knowing How It Starts

Gingivitis is described as inflammation and infection of the gum tissue that surrounds teeth. Commonly, it can begin oftentimes with poor oral hygiene and the ill-fitting dental appliances. Poor eating habits, poor tooth alignment, heavy plaque deposits, blood disorders, nutritional deficiencies and reactions to medications are the other causes of gingivitis. It is necessary to treat gingivitis for once it remains untreated, it can cause damage in the other areas of the body. Be aware that gum disease has a direct link to heart problems. To be able to prevent and treat gingivitis, the first step is to know its signs which include swollen, tender gums, gums that easily bleed, pus around the teeth, bad breath, bad taste in the mouth and gum ulcers.
