According to the company, this device can quickly transform any car into a “smart” vehicle. JioMotive Features
The JioMotive device is designed to fit snugly into your car’s On-board diagnostics (OBD) port, which is typically located below the steering wheel in most vehicles. One of its standout features is its real-time 4G GPS vehicle tracking, which allows you to monitor your car’s movements immediately and in real-time. Additionally, it comes equipped with an e-SIM, enabling it to connect to your existing data plan, removing the need for a separate SIM card.

This device also offers Geo Fencing functionality. You can create virtual boundaries on a map to keep an eye on your car’s location. If it crosses these designated boundaries, you’ll receive an alert. Furthermore, there’s a time fencing feature that notifies you when your vehicle is turned on.
JioMotive offers another smart feature known as Health Status Monitoring. This feature provides valuable information about your vehicle’s health, including details like the battery percentage and engine load. It also keeps an eye out for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and sends you alerts if anything goes wrong. Additionally, there’s a feature called Driving Performance Analysis that offers insights into your driving style and habits. JioMotive also includes a trip tracker to help you keep tabs on your journeys. Among its other capabilities are anti-theft measures and accident detection.
Reliance Jio stated during the launch that many modern smartphones come with internet connectivity, granting users access to information about their car’s internal workings, such as its location, engine health, and driving performance. However, what if you drive an older vehicle or a base model without these features? Thanks to JioMotive, you can now equip your car with these smart functions without the need for complex rewiring.
JioMotive: Pricing and availability
The JioMotive device originally costs Rs. 11,999, but currently, you can purchase it for just Rs. 4,999 at Reliance Digital, which is a substantial discount of nearly 58 percent. The services it offers are based on a subscription model, and for the first year, you won’t have to pay anything. After that initial period, you can continue using all the features for a yearly fee of Rs. 599. Please keep in mind that this device is compatible only with a Jio SIM card.
